Virtual Wellness and Performance Enhancement

Virtual Physical Therapy

During your first consultation, I listen wholeheartedly to your story, review your health history, and help you analyze the issue(s) that concern you. We will work together to create a plan that is tailored just for you and your unique needs and time constraints. From there, follow-up visits and program progressions help provide you with further education, tools for success, and accountability. You will have free access to an online app to guide you in your individualized exercise plans between consults. Follow-up sessions are typically scheduled anywhere from weekly to monthly, depending on your unique situation and needs.

Otherwise known as telehealth, online physical therapy and wellness consultation uses electronic formats (your phone, computer or tablet) to allow you to access physical therapy care and/or performance enhancement from the comfort of almost anywhere—most usefully, your home, studio, or fitness space.

*I offer telehealth physical therapy to patients across the state of California, where I am licensed.

*I provide wellness, injury-prevention, and performance enhancement/conditioning consultations without geographical boundaries. Yes, that means I can offer these services to you no matter where you live (contact me and let’s get started!).

CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

“I discovered Brooke after attending a workshop on pelvic floor dysfunction in artistic athletes. As a circus athlete recently diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction, it was eye opening to learn about this connection so I wanted to learn more. I started working with Brooke because of my pelvic floor, but I continued to work with her for other imbalances and weaknesses in my body.

In the past, I’ve seen many physical therapists both in person and virtually. Typically, PTs would assign me a laundry list of exercises based on a 5 min consult, however, Brooke spent a significant amount of time upfront listening to my concerns, challenges, and obstacles. I felt seen and heard when she put together a plan that worked with my busy lifestyle. She clearly explained the reasoning behind the exercises I was assigned. If they didn’t click for me, we would troubleshoot details or swap out another exercise. When I felt overwhelmed or confused, Brooke was able to break movements down into digestible pieces. I learned a lot about myself in the process, and together we came up with a successful plan by identifying personalized cues that helped me engage the proper muscles.

If you feel frustrated with your performance/training and want to level up, I highly recommend Brooke!”

“Brooke has an amazing eye for subtle imbalances and patterns that contribute to pain and dysfunction, even over Zoom! I started seeing Brooke because of hip pain and instability. Brooke and I worked on creating a healing program that reinforced a positive movement experience and fit into my busy life. Along with the physical therapy exercises and somatic awareness, Brooke helped me integrate some easy changes into my everyday life. Something as simple as adding a prop to my drivers seat for my long commutes had a significant impact in my progress. Additionally, as a dancer, it is so nice to work with someone who understands the unique strains and mobility of my body. Brooke has a holistic approach to physical therapy that helps the client feel understood and supported in their individual healing journey. Over the course of a few short months, I went from having constant pain in everyday activities to being able to feel good while dancing without ever leaving home.”

“Before I found Brooke, I was apprehensive to seek help for my knee pain. I have been dismissed by other medical professionals regarding injuries related to dance in the past. However, those fears vanished when I started working with her! Brooke is very supportive and listened carefully to all my needs and concerns. She was very thorough in her evaluation. She even had me move/dance around to see how I use my body and how that might influence any injuries. She created a workout program for me that made me stronger and was something that I actually wanted to do, and continue to do. At every appointment, she was very attentive to what I needed and what I wanted to work on, not just the things that she felt would be helpful. I recommend her to anyone that needs help and a positive, guiding hand. Brooke gave me hope that I can get better, and made me feel heard and validated.

I feel more empowered regarding my health/fitness because of Brooke. She is worth every bit of time and money. After having worked with her, my knees feel 100x better. I can do activities without pain and can dance without having to wear a knee brace (which I was wearing for everything for a long time). She has great insight into what is happening in the body that can help dancers and non-dancers alike! She also has a great eye over Zoom. She is wonderful, a joy to work with, and will get anyone back to feeling their best in no time!”

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is my issue appropriate for online physical therapy treatment?

A vast majority of orthopedic and pelvic health issues are suitable for online care. When you call to discuss booking an appointment with me, I can help you determine if my services sound like they would be a good fit for you.

Do I need a referral from a physician to seek online physical therapy treatment?

No! In California, you can seek treatment (online or in-person) directly from a physical therapist without a physician referral. After 12 visits or 45 calendar days, whichever occurs first, you can continue with physical therapy only after having received an examination and approval of your physical therapist’s plan of care by a physician, osteopath or podiatrist, certified in the state of California. I help guide you in addressing these needs as we create your individualized plan.

How is my privacy maintained during telehealth visits?

Rest assured that all telehealth sessions are conducted through fully encrypted networks on my end, and they meet all HIPAA standards.  Sessions may be recorded for quality purposes; however, I will never do so without your explicit consent.
